Magnus will eat almost anything we put infront of him. Being in Latin America giving him avocadoes is a good option and he really likes it.

Magnus ved at vænne sig til sin nye seng.

Det har været en meget god oplevelse for os at se de lokale dominikaers attitude til born. Det er helt utrolig som born bliver værdsat her. Magnus får meget opmærksomhed fra mange forskellige mennersker. Selv den lokale hjemløse mand hver gang han ser Magnus stopper for at sige hej og velsigne ham. Det skal siges det ikke kun er Magnus der får den opmærksomhed. Alle born lader til at få den samme behandling.

It has been a great experience for us to see the attitude to children from the local Dominicans. It is amazing how they seem to be appreciated. Magnus gets a lot of attention from many different people. Even the local homeless guy stops to say hello and bless Magnus. It is not only Magnus that gets all the attention. It seems it is the same for all the children

Kylling

Vi har taget en del legetøj med på vores tur. Vi fik dog lært på den hårde made at Magnus kan smide ting langt fra sin klapvogn. Indtil vidre har vi mistet Kylling (fra Lise), Rasmus (plastik and fra Keeling familien) og sut på tværs af paskontrol i JFK lufthavnen. Vi har dog et billed til minde om Magnus’ gode legetøj Kylling.

We have brought a lot of toys for this trip but have had to learn the hard way that Magnus can now throw things far from his buggy. So far he has lost Kylling (from Lise), Rasmus (plastic duck from the Keelings) and a binky across the floor in the JFK airport. We managed to get a picture before Magnus managed to loose his good toy Kylling.

Santo Dominco - Zona Colonial

Nogle af billederne der blev taget paa en af vores dage med sight seeing. Det sidste er foer Magnus havde et "uheld" og maatte bruge resten af turen ´au natural´. Uheldet bragte meget sjov til en lokal taximand der brugte sin radio paa at fortaelle sine kollegaer om hvordan Rikke blev smurt ind i Magnus affoering!!

Some pictures taken during one of our days with sightseeing. The last one was taken before Magnus had a big accident which resulted in him being naked for the rest of the trip (except a nappy). A local taxi driver got a lot of fun out of it and used his radio to tell his colleagues about how Rikke was covered in Magnus´poo!!

The Dominican Republic -- Den Dominikanske Republik

Så er familien Albert ankommet til Santo Dominco in den Dominikanske Republik. Vi oplever en masse og det er svært at vide hvor vi skal starte med at fortælle om vores tid her. Vi brugte de første par dage på at finde os til rette og få udhvilet efter vores travle tid med pakkeri etc. Vi kan opsummere de sidste par dage med at Rikke er begyndt på spansk, Matt & Magnus hygger og vi alle nyder solen. Der har været ca. 30C hver dag hvilket er lidt af en kontrast til vejret i London. Billedet er af Magnus ved Santo Domincos Malacon med udsigt til det Caraiberiske øhav.

The Albert Family has finally arrived in Santo Dominco in the Dominican Republic. We are seeing a lot and it is difficult to know where to start . We used the first few days here to rest from our busy time back in London. In summary we can say that Rikke has started her Spanish, Matt & Magnus are hanging out together and we are enjoying the sun. It has been warm and sunny with 30C every day which is a big contrast to the weather in London. The picture is of Magnus by the Malecon with the view to the Carribbean Sea.

A little reminder of London -- Et lille billed til minde om London

Despite this blog not being about our travel we still though we would share this picture with you. It was taken when Magnus managed to stand up for the first time. You can probably see that he looks very proud of himself! He was supposed to sleep but managed to avoid that by getting very excited about this new skill.

Selvom bloggen ikke handle om vores rejse saa syntes vi alligevel vi ville dele dette billed med jer. Det blev taget da Magnus stod op for foerste gang. I can sikkert se at han ser stolt ud af sig selv! Det var meningen han skulle sove, men det undgik han ved at blive oppergassen over sin nye frihed.

Technical problems -- Tekniske problemer

We had planned to update our blog on a regular basis for all you to be able to follow our exciting travels but we are encountering many problems in doing so. Rikke is attempting to transfer files and pictures but her Spanish is still limited which we are sure is adding to the difficulties. We are asking you all to bear with us. We have many great photos to share and to make it short we are having a fantastic time.

Det var meningen vi skulle opdatere vores blog ofte saa i kan see hvad vi foretager os paa vores spaendende rejse, men vi har en del tekniske problemer. Rikke er igang med at overfoere filer men det er nemmere sagt end gjort naar det er paa spansk. Saa vi ber jer om at vaere taalmodige. Vi kan kun sige vi har det godt og har en masse gode billeder at vise jer.
